Overview

Second Social Support Program – Warm Clothing and Essential Items Distribution to Students in Lamjung

On 19 October 2025, the Himalaya Sun Students Foundation successfully organized its Second Social Support Program at Shree Saraswoti Sadan Basic School, located in the remote village of Marsyangdi-9, Pamchok, Lamjung, Nepal.

During this meaningful community event, essential winter support items were carefully distributed to 70 students from Early Childhood Development level through Grade 8. Each student received necessary materials to help them stay warm and comfortable during the cold season in the Himalayan region.

The items distributed to each student included:
– 1 warm blanket
– 1 pair of gloves
– 1 pair of socks
– 1 woolen cap (winter hat)
– Warm clothing suitable for winter conditions

This important initiative was made possible through the generous donation, vision, and leadership of our CEO and Founder, Ms. Karina Grewar, whose continued support has played a vital role in improving the lives of students in remote communities.

At the time of this event, Mrs. Geeta Pandey served as the Program Coordinator, working closely with Mr. Anup Babu Koirala of Hills Range Trek & Expeditions Pvt. Ltd. to organize and successfully implement the distribution program. Today, Ms. Geeta Pandey is also proudly serving as a Board Member of the Himalaya Sun Students Foundation, continuing her dedication and commitment to the organization’s mission.

The presence of school management members, community leaders, parents, and local residents made the program even more special and meaningful. Their encouragement strengthens our motivation to continue supporting children in rural Himalayan regions.

The Himalaya Sun Students Foundation remains committed to promoting education, health, and well-being for students in remote areas of Nepal. Through continued cooperation and generosity, we aim to create brighter opportunities for children and strengthen community support for their future.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our CEO & Founder Ms. Karina Grewar for her generous donation and to all partners, volunteers, and community members who contributed to the successful completion of this program.
